Results of Registrar Satisfaction Survey 2025
In September 2025, 117 registrars took part in the annual Registrar Satisfaction Survey (RSS) that research agency MediaTest carries out for us. For SIDN overall, the average mark out of 10 given this year was 7.7 – very slightly down on 2024’s 7.8. The main survey findings are summarised below.
Figuur 1: General satisfaction with SIDN since 2005.
First of all, satisfaction with our individual services and with personal contact is either at the same level as last year, or higher. Registrars gave high marks to our Support Department and to personal contact with our other departments, averaging 8.2. Satisfaction with our news bulletins and with the Is/Whois service was also higher than last year.

The main things that registrars want to see improved are the same as a year ago. The lowest satisfaction score (7.2) was given for the speed with which improvements are implemented. When asked for examples, respondents mentioned modernisation of our systems, which are often perceived as a little old-fashioned. Many registrars also said they wanted to see the zone file updated more often. Other highlighted issues were the convenience of the DRS web interface, the stability of the Whois/RDAP service, and the proposed migration to AWS.
We take registrars’ feedback very seriously, and we continue to work on improvements. We’re expecting to take a big step forward in 2026, when we introduce Hello Registry – the new registration system we’re developing with CIRA.
