Transparency report
Compared with the total number of .nl domains - more than six million - the number of times we intervene is very small. Nevertheless, we think it's important to be open and transparent about our interventions, because they can have major implications for those involved. Here you'll find details about how often we have felt obliged to take action or share information, of our own accord or in response to legal proceedings.
Promoting modern internet standards
We promote modern internet standards
In order to keep the internet safe and stable, we work with the Platform for Internet Standards to encourage the use of modern internet standards. The Platform is a joint initiative by the Dutch business community and government to promote open standards such as IPv6 (the new IP addressing protocol), DNSSEC (for safe data transport), TLS (for safe encryption), and DMARC, DKIM and SPF (for e-mail security against spam and phishing). Simply check via internet.nl whether your website complies with the modern internet standards.
