Cloud Security Engineer

You’ll be a highly motivated cloud security professional with a passion for cloud, who contributes to secure and compliant cloud environments within an innovative, growing organisation. As Cloud Security & Compliance Engineer, you’ll be part of our Cloud Engineering team, with special responsibility for designing, implementing and refining our cloud security structure and compliance processes within our cloud. The role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to securely scale up our cloud environment, ensuring that we’re always in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and best practices.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures

• Setting up and refining security monitoring, logging and incident response

• Assessing and realising compliance with requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2 and NIST)

• Automating security controls and compliance checks (e.g. using AWS Config, Security Hub, CloudFormation, Vanta)

• Advising and supporting software engineering teams on security and compliance matters

• Assisting audits and risk analyses

• Keeping up to date with cloud developments and security trends

• A higher vocational qualification in IT or cybersecurity, or comparable experience

• At least 3 years’ experience with cloud, including at least 1 year in a security or compliance-related role

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and cloud security tools (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, etc)

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), e.g. CloudFormation

• Preferably familiarity with CIS, NIST, ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2

• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English

Required:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

• AWS Certified Security Specialty

Desirable:

• CISSP and/or CCSP qualification

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Gross monthly salary of up to €5,700, depending on professional experience
