Cloud Network Engineer

As an Cloud Network Engineer, you’ll have a pivotal role in designing, managing and optimising our AWS-based cloud networks. You’ll work on scalable, secure network architectures that are essential to our cloud infrastructure. You’ll use your extensive network knowledge to help us set up hybrid connectivity, traffic management, security policies and network component automation.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Designing and managing based network infrastructures (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, etc.);

• Setting up hybrid environments (on-premises ↔ cloud);

• Configuring and optimising routing, firewalls and load balancers in the cloud;

• Managing DNS, VPNs, IP addressing and subnet structures;

• Overseeing network integrity, monitoring and troubleshooting;

• Collaborating with security and cloud teams to realise secure and robust solutions;

• Contributing to the automation of network configurations (e.g. via CloudFormation).

• At least 3 years' experience as a network engineer (cloud and/or on-premises)

• Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), NAT, subnetting and firewall concept

• Knowledge of or experience with networking services (VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, Route 53, etc)

• Experience with IaC (CloudFormation, AWS CDK)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows (GitLab)

• Good coding skills (Python, Bash)

• Preferably experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark

• Strong teamworking and communication skills

• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English

Your qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty

Desirable:

• Cisco CCNP qualification and/or Juniper Enterprise Routing and Switching Specialist (JNCIS-ENT)

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

• Gross monthly salary of up to €5,700, depending on professional experience
