How you'd explain your job at a party

I analyse and transform data into valuable reports that meet the needs of the business.

Your role

As a Business Intelligence Professional, you will be part of our data team. You will work daily with PowerBI and our extensive data lake based on Azure Databricks to convert data into useful insights that deliver results. You will be the link between the business and our data engineers: you will actively gather information, translate questions into clear requirements and develop these into analyses, dashboards and data products.

You are at home in the world of data, but work closely with disciplines such as marketing, finance and support. You enjoy brainstorming with colleagues, contributing ideas to their issues and independently devising the right solutions, rather than just handling tickets.

We offer you the space to develop further and help shape the role within a team that values innovation and professionalism.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Developing analyses, dashboards and reports in Power BI and Databricks Dashboards;

  • Drawing up and elaborating requirements and user stories in consultation with the business;

  • Unlocking and editing data from Azure Databricks and other data sources;

  • Building new data products for internal and external stakeholders;

  • Advising colleagues and management based on data-driven insights;

  • Contributing to the continuous development of our data platform and our BI processes.

Your skills

You identify with our core values: customer-focused, reliable, innovative, independent and professional. And you want to continue learning and developing. If this sounds like you, you'll fit right in with us! Because with us, you can truly be yourself.

  • A completed higher professional education (HBO) and/or university education (WO);

  • At least 2 years of work experience in a Business Intelligence role;

  • You know your way around large databases and have substantive data skills;

  • Experience with Azure Databricks and Power BI, including a good command of SQL, DAX and M;

  • Experience with Power Automate and Python is an advantage, or you are willing to learn;

  • Experience with agile/scrum and drawing up requirements/user stories yourself is an advantage;

  • A customer-oriented attitude and the ability to explain complex insights clearly;

  • A team player who easily connects with other disciplines;

  • Good command of Dutch and English;

  • You are able to work 2 to 3 days a week at the office in Arnhem.

What you can expect

For us, it's all about balance. Balance between hard work and relaxation, between performance and reward, between your ambitions and ours, between an inspiring office environment and the convenience of working from home, and of course between professional and private life. We utilise the latest technologies for easy collaboration, remotely, physically and in hybrid forms. We also make sure that our people have well-equipped home workstations, plus access to an office space with everything they need to get together, collaborate and inspire each another. If you want to go running or visit granny during office hours, we're okay with that. As long as you live up to your professional responsibilities, we'll work out between us exactly how and when you do your work. And we're not fans of formal appraisal. What really matters is year-round personal development. Where you take the lead. Helping us to consolidate our status as a major, unique player in the internet technology sector.

  • Ample education and training opportunities

  • Professional coaching and budget coaching

  • A relocation allowance if taking the job means moving house

Everything above is for a full-time role (40-hour week).

The selection procedure includes screening, which involves obtaining a Certificate of Good Behaviour (similar to a criminal record check), and performing reference and integrity checks.

Acquisition is not welcome for this vacancy.
