Your role

Are you a specialist who understands business and is ready to harness a brand-new data platform to provide SIDN with market intelligence? Excited by the idea of extracting, analysing and interpreting information from our large data lake to identify (new) opportunities using PowerBI reporting technology?

Operating at the interface between IT and business, you'll act as a discussion partner for our management team and other colleagues, and for our customers. You'll be responsible for using our data platform to answer complex questions posed by departments such as Marketing, Finance and Support. The role involves being able to understand customers' needs and make connections between data relating to our customers' markets, as a starting point for correct interpretation and the extraction of useful intelligence.

As our BI Specialist, you’ll work closely with our data team, whose experienced data engineers will be your technical sparring partners. Together, you’ll deliver optimised data solutions and intelligence. Our data lake is built on Azure Databricks, so you’ll be working with modern technologies in an innovative environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Gathering data and information from various sources

  • Performing analyses, generating reports and interpreting findings

  • Developing dashboards

  • Developing new data products

  • Giving advice based on intelligence gained from data

  • Liaising with colleagues

  • Advising colleagues and management

  • Constantly staying abreast of the latest trends and developments

Your skills

  • Higher vocational and/or university qualification(s)

  • At least 2 years' experience working in a similar role

  • Customer-focus and the ability to translate intelligence into clear and effective presentations

  • The ability to work with large data files and technical data management skills

  • Experience with databases and dimensional modelling

  • Experience with Databricks Dashboards is desirable

  • Knowledge of SQL Databricks Reports and PowerBI, including strong DAX and M skills

  • The ability to work as part of a team and seek out internal and external collaboration

  • Good command of both Dutch and English essential

  • Affinity with marketing

  • Customer focus

  • Ability to innovate

  • Independence

  • Experience with Power Automate and Python is desirable; otherwise a willingness to learn

Pay and other benefits

  • Gross monthly salary of up to €5,500, depending on age and experience

Everything above is for a full-time role (40-hour week).
