You’ll join an international team working on a platform that enables global domain name registrations for multiple top-level domains (TLDs). That implies systems that run 24/7, are extremely reliable and process millions of transactions.
While the project’s international dimension brings challenges due to the different time zones and different working practices, it also makes the work dynamic and stimulating. Good communication and coordination make the partnership strong and effective. The role will involve occasional travel to CIRA in Canada.
Your work will have direct impact, considerable technical depth and short reporting lines in an environment where you contribute to the stability, availability and security of the internet every day.
You’ll be building and maintaining the backend systems at the heart of the registry platform:
Developing scalable backend services for domain registration processes
Working with and extending EPP-based registry systems
Designing high-availability container-based systems
Helping to integrate registries around the world within Hello Registry
Improving the performance, uptime and resilience of critical services
Working on security systems
Contributing to architectural decision-making in a mission-critical environment
(*) Hello Registry is a partnership between .ca registry CIRA and .nl registry SIDN, who have joined forces to develop a next-generation domain registration system. Our activities are based in both Canada and the Netherlands.
