The national digitisation summit
ECP and SIDN are teaming up to organise a new 2-day event, with the first edition scheduled for Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November 2026. The Digital Netherlands Festival will be an independent congress where all the key players in our digital society gather to shape the Netherlands’ digital future.
Digital crossroads
The Netherlands is at a digital crossroads. Technology is developing at breathtaking speed, its social impact is constantly increasing, and the situation calls for more than policy or tooling. It calls for unity. For synergy. For collaboration involving the government, politicians, the business community, knowledge institutions and civil society.
For the digital society
Against that background, ECP and SIDN are joining forces to organise a new annual event: the Digital Netherlands Festival. It’ll be an independent, interdisciplinary platform for active engagement involving all the key players in our digital society. An opportunity not only for knowledge-sharing, but also for collective acceleration. For building bridges between policy and practice, between innovation and implementation, between vision and realisation.
Shaping the future together
The festival will be the place for collectively shaping a responsible, value-based digital future for the Netherlands. For expanding on and deep diving into the ambitions set out in the National Digitisation Strategy. For showing that the Netherlands not only has a place on the global stage, but can play a leading role.
ECP has many years’ experience bringing together the various members of our digital society. And SIDN has unique internet expertise through its role as operator of the .nl domain.
