What’s visible in the Whois

We, SIDN BV, referred to below as SIDN, manage the .nl domain. Using the Whois search tool on sidn.nl, anyone is free to view the following details of any registered .nl domain name:

• The registrant’s name (if it’s a business registrant)

• The registrant’s name (if it’s a private registrant and they’ve chosen to share their name)

• The registrant’s address (if it’s a business registrant and they’ve chosen to share their address)

• The e-mail address of the administrative contact

• Details of the registrar (hosting service provider) that manages the registration

• The e-mail address of the technical contact

• The registration date

• Details of the name servers

Use this form if you want the following details:

• The registrant’s name and address

• The names, addresses and phone numbers of the administrative and technical contacts

And if you want the information to contact the registrant for one of these reasons:

• To sort out technical problems that affect how the internet works.

• To protect intellectual property rights.

• To stop illegal and harmful content being put on the internet, or to get it taken down.
